Practical Philosophy in the Pub
- Have you recently started your career?
- Do you ever find yourself looking for more meaning in it?
- Do you ever find yourself left with a niggling desire for more happiness and satisfaction?
These questions will be explored through a series of five discussions hosted by the School of Practical Philosophy. The discussions will gently unpack some of the assumptions and habits that can so easily make our life feel repetitive or unfulfilled.
The conversations will provide the space to explore how these assumptions operate, and offer a range of tools that can be used to make ourselves feel more aligned, content and aware. In doing this, we will draw upon a rich spectrum of the teachings from a number of thinkers – both ancient and modern – from the East and West.
The discussions will be informal (over a beer or coffee), and no prior knowledge is needed. They will be directed by an experienced facilitator, with 15 years of experience studying Practical Philosophy, and over 10 years experience in facilitating Philosophy programs. Key benefits you can expect to derive from this series include:
- Deepening my levels of awareness and inner stillness
- Being more content and free from stress
- Being less driven by unhealthy emotions and reactions
- Deepening my understanding of how the human mind operates
- Experiencing more fulfilling relationships
